This monumental effort in gunmaking represents the work of four contemporary artisans. Completed in 1985, after a total of more than 2,000 hours of work, it stands alone in quality of execution. Done in half scale, every detail was considered. Stock checkering for example is 48 lines to the inch, bolt handle checkering is 96 lines to the inch. Engraved in the finest detail throughout with the floorplate showing a game scene. Shown at the "Three Centuries of Tradition" exhibit 2002 at the Minneapolis Institute of Arts.
