An Alexander Henry best quality single shot falling block rifle.
.500 – 3 inch black powder express. Circa 1885, retains nearly all of its original bluing, about 70% of the color hardening and much of its wood finish. A slight ding at heel on butt plate but overall a wonderful rifle. These guns have the amazing “stepped” lock which was used to transition from the rather wide breech to a conventional narrow British wrist. All the internal parts are made to mirror the stepped lockplate.
